NASAL CLEAR (WAS NASAL WASH) by Physician Standard

I have been using Nasal Clear by Physician Standard for a couple of years.  I use it whenever I start to get the sniffles, if I get a mold hit, or if something feels stuffy in my nose. It is not a substitute for neti-pot or other total irrigation therapies that clear the upper passageways — it helps with maintaining clear nasal passages.

I went on a trip and my bottle opened up and spilled leaving me without my go to nasal wash.

This is not an easy supplement to get if you don’t have a doctor.  I did find a way to order new so contact me if you don’t have a doctor who works with Physician’s Standard you are looking to get a bottle (or 2) and I may be able to help you order.

The Physician Standard website says, “With the Physicians’ Standard Healthy Patient Program (HPP), your Healthcare Practitioner can set you up as an approved patient, allowing you to purchase your nutritional supplements directly from us. Then, you can conveniently order Physicians’ Standard supplements online or via the phone. Purchasing on this site is available only to Healthcare Professionals and their approved patients.”

Hidden Toxic Mold Behind Your Walls

When I mention mold to some people they get defensive.

“MY HOUSE IS CLEAN!”

They don’t understand that your house can be clean and you can still have Toxic Mold.

Have you ever had a book or an antique that smelled of mold?
Some molds are harmless.  Others are toxic.

If one toxic mold spore gets into your house and attaches itself to something…
that can be enough to make you sick.  Or enough to make some people sick.

I am one of those people who gets sick from mold.  It’s genetic.  So, my son gets sick too.

My husband doesn’t get as sick but he still gets grumpy, headaches, nosebleeds and tired.

My daughter has breathing problems and shortness of breathe.  She breaks out in acne.

We all respond differently, but we are living in the same environment with the same toxins.

And when we clean the air, we all feel better.

Go figure.  It’s that easy.  Clean the air.

Find out how.

Millions are Sick from Poor Indoor Air Quality and Sick Buildings

Mold illness is common and often misdiagnosed. Millions are suffering and many don’t know that their indoor air, food, water, and toxins they are unknowingly exposed to every day are making them sick.

Donate to help start a non-profit for mold sick people

My son deteriorated from an active, smart 11 year old boy to a bed & wheelchair-bound sickly child with daily seizures and vomiting and excruciating pain. He would forget what you told him a minute after you said something — it was like he had Alzheimer’s. It was common for him to collapse in a heap and convulse and/or stare off in a catatonic state.

I had to quit my job to take care of him and I found myself getting sick. When I went to the doctor’s for my memory problems and digestive problems, I was told it was stress and nothing more. I wound up hospitalized several times for vomiting. Surgeries, medication, nothing helped. We went into debt to pay for medical bills, testing, supplements and travel to various specialists.

We found out that toxic mold behind the walls of our home was the cause of the sickness. By the time we figured it out my husband had chest pains, my dog was having seizures, my daughter had asthma, MRSA and behavior problems. We were a sick family.

We took on more debt to fix our home and make it safe for us to live in. We were homeless for over ten months while we fixed our home. This all takes money… money we did not have.

My son is healthy now and about to turn 18 years old. If he gets exposed to toxic mold, he will crash physically and mentally. It’s something he will always have to deal with because he is genetically susceptible to mold.

Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker says that 24% of the population are genetically susceptible to mold and consequently can’t detox well… so we get sick from toxic mold and sick buildings. Dr. Shoemaker also writes about a phenomenon called “sicker quicker” in his book “Surviving Mold” – when someone has been severely poisoned, they can get well and then when re-exposed to a toxin… it makes us very sick, very quick.

If 24% of 325 million US population can’t detox – that’s approximately 81 million sick people.

We have to take precautions to keep our indoor air extremely healthy, we have to be careful where we go, who we visit and where we work.

Getting well from toxic overload takes money and many in the chronically ill community can’t work regular jobs because a large number of buildings are sick buildings. We need clean, toxin free homes and buildings. Many people don’t get well because they can’t afford treatment and supplements or they can’t think clearly enough to follow through with a daily plan… or worse, they can’t get out of bed. They need help. People need different levels of help.

We have millions of sick people because we have millions of sick buildings, contaminated water, pesticides in food, antibiotics in meat, mercury and radiation in fish and arsenic in chicken. The list goes on and on. Once you get poisoned, people need a lot of things other people would not think of.

Too many people are living in moldy, toxic homes and they are wondering why they are sick all the time. These are some of the things we need:

1. Clean Air, Water, Food and Skin Care
2. Detox Centers – motels and buildings turned into safe places to stay. Storage units for contaminated belongings. Outside showers, outside cleaning bays with good drainage.
3. Education on how to live healthy lives, how to grow your own food or source from an organic farmer, Wi-Fi is dangerous, make-up can be toxic, amalgam fillings add to toxic load, mold causes allergies and mycotoxins can kill you.
4. Access to clean, natural supplements, ground herbs, natural products
5. Stay away from pharmaceuticals except in emergencies. Always look for the cause.
6. Re-educate doctors to educate patients on the 4 categories that could be making them sick: Air, Water, Food and Skin Care
7. Testing air and water for mold, viruses, bacteria, pesticides, petroleum, VOC’s, formaldehyde
8. Air and water purifiers for homes
9. Mandatory testing for all public buildings and public housing by a qualified air & water quality inspector. Yearly or more often if they fail.
10. Money to pay for all this

As you read this, there are people who are living in their cars or in tents because they get sick indoors. There are people living in moldy buildings because they have nowhere to go.

I pray we can all work together and help people!

Thank you for your time,

Comment with ideas on how to organize and help more people.

Donate if you can. The donation will go to “Freedom Out of the Box, LLC” which is owned by Heather Plude (me) — I have someone who will help me set up a non-profit and we need to pay her for that service.

Once a non-profit organization is started we can raise money to start detox centers and help individuals with medical needs, housing needs, education and more.

Our first goal is $5,000 to get the non-profit organization started.

First detox center. A motel is available and the location is nontoxic and remote. This would be an ideal place for people to stay and set up one of the rooms with a sauna, supplements, a shower, fitness area and a hub for the detox center. The other rooms can be remodeled to be toxin free and the basement would need encapsulation. There is room for tents and new cabins on the grounds. Also, an outside shower, organic gardening and possibly storage units for people to store their things in while the relocate. $100,000 to $250,000 plus operating costs

Mobile detox center. An Airstream or some other non-toxic mobile home complete with sauna and outdoor shower. People who have been dealing with toxicity and cross contamination would understand the need for this. We know many sick people, who are forced to live in tents, cars and homeless shelters and they continue to be sick from toxins. $50,000 to $100,000 plus operating costs

Many detox centers across the U.S. and in other countries… where ever there is homeless because of toxicity, there should be a non-toxic home and help finding a more permanent living situation. Homes, motels, apartment buildings… we need to fix existing buildings or build new. Whichever is more reasonable and working for super sensitive individuals.

I know some people who are so sensitive they are living on an island away from all civilization. We can never get a place so clean that everyone will do well there. We can get it so 99% of the people who were homeless from toxins have a place to go. That is my goal.

I would love to have other people comment here or contact me about moving forward with this project. We are going to need smart people who understand mold illness and smart business people to make this work. I want to work with a team of people who all want to help the people who are struggling. I know you are out there. Contact me. Let’s form an alliance.

I am flexible on all these plans as long as the general theme is to help people who are sick from mold and other environmental toxins to get into a clean space, get their health back and help to find or make them new, non-toxic homes.

In the past, I have sent emails and filled out contact forms on websites for politicians, heads of departments, non-profits, news channels, talk show hosts, and I have not gotten any responses YET.

I was discouraged and I made a post on Facebook about reaching out and feeling like I was getting nowhere and I was encouraged to keep on trying.

Someone, who knew I had been wanting to start a non-profit for at least a couple of years asked me if I had started that non-profit yet.
Now is the time.

I am helping people every day by phone, email and chat… and frustrated because we don’t have the money to REALLY help people!
Let’s do it already!

I will go back to a lot of those politicians, heads of departments, non-profits, news channels, talk show hosts and share this page. I’m not going to dwell on the ones that have not yet answered me. I will reach out to more until I do get answers.

I am going to pray we make the needle on this fundraiser rise.

Please comment with your own mold story so that those who are able to donate see the stories of those who are suffering. That is my request of you, my fellow mold warriors. Comment and share. Contact me if you are able to contribute anything from time to ideas. We need your voice, your prayers and your emotional support.

Financial support will come from people who can afford to give.

I pledge to give 10% of my income to this cause.

Surviving Mold – The Book That Saved My Life

My son had been very sick for 9 months.

I had been sick… but not as sick as him… for 20 years.

We had both been told it was all in our heads. We both had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, Bartonella, Mycoplasma and many other things. I had 3 surgeries which, in hindsight, were all avoidable. My son had been on IV antibiotics that nearly killed him. Those were some scary times. Especially the last couple of years before we found the mold.

Everyone was sick. Including the dog. Seizures, throwing up, bloody noses, heart attacks, pain all over, fatigue, fainting, asthma, you name it, we had it. I thought I was losing my mind.

We found the book Surviving Mold in February of 2011 and we finally figured out why we could not get well. If you are living in toxic mold, you will get gradually sicker and many will even die living in mold. Many have died.

“It’s all in your head” was something we heard from many doctors.

In a way, it was. Our heads (and bodies) were full of toxins. Mold toxins, mercury, mycotoxins, bacteria, viruses… all of the above! When you are sick from mold, your immune system is suppressed and you can catch anything that crosses your path. Somewhere between 50% and 80% of buildings have some sort of water damage that was not repaired quickly enough and caused mold. Most people think it’s no big deal. I am here to tell you it’s a very big deal and it can make people very, very sick!

Many closed minded doctors tend blame the patient (or the patient’s mother) when they can’t find a pharmaceutical or a surgery that fits your symptom list.  Believe me.  I’ve seen dozens of doctors who did not help us! And we were very sick.

We never did go to Dr. Shoemaker as patients. Since I have been well, I have met him at a couple of different “indoor air quality” and “mold” conferences. He’s a brilliant man who paved the way for millions to have a path to wellness.

This video interview goes over many of the points from the book “Surviving Mold” and if you want more info, his website SurvivingMold.com is fantastic.

Our Path to Wellness

Too much pain.

Too much pain.

Doctors don’t always know best.  If you are sick or you have a sick child, never stop looking for answers.  95% of the doctors out there are making too much money off sick people to want to help… but there are the 5% who really want to help people get well. Find a good doctor, nutritionist, or naturopath.  We have seen dozens of doctors and I can recommend two.  Please contact me if you are looking for a doctor.  I will try to help you find one.  Last March Tammy Stevens and the Whitehall Elks held a fundraiser for Cullen … at that time he was only getting worse, day by day. His immune system and his body were so weak, he looked like a 70 year old man and he was only 12.

Part of the proceeds from that fundraiser helped me figure out what was making him sick.  I had suspected environmental issues for a long time. I had called the NYS Department of Health asking if they could help me determine what was making us sick and they dismissed me.I couldn’t afford the testing.  We were spending so much on doctors, medicine, supplements, and other appointments… not to mention that I was not working and I was getting sick too.

I tested for radon, I tested the water, then I tested the dust… and I got a positive… VERY POSITIVE.  The test that gave me some answers was the Environmental Relative Moldiness Index or ERMI(ERMI).  The scale went from negative 10 to positive 20… our test came back that our house was a 20.3.  I called the lab to confirm that we were indeed off the scale.  Yes, we broke the bell curve of mold, they had never seen a house so high.  We moved out.

Moving out made many of our family’s health problems go away.  We knew within 4 days that we had done the right thing.

My son was the sickest of anyone in the house.  He had pain all over, no energy, major brain fog, neurological tics, difficulty sleeping, difficulty reading, short term memory loss.  Because of his sickness he had zero quality of life.  He was just sore and sick all the time.  You know that scale they give you at the Dr’s office?  We did that scale on 3 things: brain, stomach and all over pain, and he was always a 8 to a 10 in each.  Every day.

He did not attend any of 6th grade. He was tutored at home for 2 hours a day and sometimes he was too sick to even do that.

When we moved out, Cullen started to get better four days later. That was all the proof I needed that the house was making him sick.  We have not lived in that house since.  We lost our health first and then our home and everything in it: furniture, clothing, toys, mattresses, bedding, rugs, and $1,000’s worth of stuff we threw into dumpsters.

So sad… 2009

My daughter had allergies and asthma and that completely went away.  She was on 3 medications, had an emergency nebulizers, allergy shots once a week, and an emergency inhaler.  She doesn’t need any of these medications any more.  She used to get spontaneous nose bleeds and chronic sinus infections… all of this is gone.

I was having major brain fog.  I could not remember appointments, I would get lost without my Garmin and I was starting to become dyslexic.  I was seeing things backwards.  I couldn’t remember words or which side of an envelope the stamp belonged on.  I had been in and out of the hospital with major GI problems and had a tendency to get ovarian cysts.  I hadn’t had my time of the month in years and I was only 39.  I bruised very easily and I lost a lot of hair.

Mike had been to the ER twice with heart palpitations.  He has fungal toe nails.

The dog went lame and would not get up to eat.  She had mucus coming from her eyes and could not “assume the position” to go to the bathroom.

Healthy Again!

2014- Healthy Again!

We are learning how to live with this. Thank you mom and dad for owning a motel and the land that we camped on last summer!   Thank you to everyone who came to that spaghetti dinner that Cullen was to sick to attend.  I just want you to know he is better now and our house is almost done.   We moved out April 16th, 2011.  Today is February 2nd, 2012 and we looking for furniture and mattresses so we can move back in.

I would not have been able to afford the testing without the fundraiser. THANK YOU WHITEHALL & TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED US!

Please, if you think you have mold in your home or work, get out first.

If you bring anything from the home, you can bring the mold with you! Take nothing with you.  If you have to take clothes, stop at a laundromat and wash them with 2 cups of ammonia and no detergent.  Then, put the clothes in new bags that did not come from the mold contaminated home!

Figure out how to fix it when you are living somewhere safe.
